Karim is the Founder and Executive Director of EPDA, a project origination platform in renewable energy with more than 4GW of transactions already originated globally and 1GW under mandate with leading IPP and investors.

He has over 15 years of experience in the energy sector, having founded and co-founded several companies, providing advisory or project development services in different regions of the world. Karim also worked for several years in the structured finance department of Dexia, participating in the origination, structuring and closing of more than $ 1.5 billion of debt and over 1 GW of onshore wind and solar capacities.

He frequently publishes articles and papers for magazines, think tanks and institutions and has been playing an active role in working groups for several institutions or industry associations such as the IRENA, the IEA or MESIA.

Karim is a graduate of HEC French School of Management (economics & finance) and holds a master’s degree in Natural Resources and Environment Economics from Paris Nanterre University.
