Location: Remote

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and versatile Business Development Manager. In this position, the officer will play a key role in helping to grow the organization. The Manager will work closely with the Strategy Director and CEO to increase our membership and generate revenue for the organisation.

Responsibilities
  • Recruit and retain members through targeted outreach in the Europe, Americas, India, Africa and Middle East regions;
  • Enhance the membership value proposition for the Global Solar Council;
  • Establish partnerships and secure sponsorships for events and initiatives;
  • Develop new strategies to increase revenue and meet financial targets;
  • Develop materials such as membership value presentations, sponsorship presentations, and other materials necessary for the BD Department;
  • Write proposals and secure grants for projects;
  • Enhance member services, including training and networking opportunities.
  • Represent and coordinate the engagement of the association at industry events
  • Manage the CRM and other tools supporting the BD Department;
  • Other admin tasks as needed.
Profile
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the solar PV industry with extensive contact network in the sector (essential);
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in business development;
  • Passion and good understanding of solar energy and the green energy transition;
  • Experience in coordinating projects or activities at a global scale and across cultures;
  • Experience using HubSpot or other similar CRMs;
  • Experience developing impactful business strategies, presentations and sales pitches;
  • A team player who works well with others and is a self-starter;
  • Versatility and willingness to support other activities of the GSC;
  • Fluency in English (native or equivalent), other languages including Spanish, French, Hindi will be considered an asset.

Must be based in the region described above.
  • Attractive salary dependent on location and experience with possibility for discretionary bonus structure with element of performance related pay.
